Melleruds IF

Melleruds IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Melleruds IF, 209 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Melleruds IF could be found in Group 25 together with Södra Sandby IF, Täby United and HNK Djakovo. Melleruds IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Landvetter IS with 0-1. In the Final, Landvetter IS won over Leiknir and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Melleruds comes from Mellerud which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mellerud does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Dals Långeds IK and Vänersborgs IF).
