Askeröds IF /Löberöds IF

Askeröds IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Askeröds IF, 209 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Askeröds IF /Löberöds IF could be found in Group 6 together with IF Eker Örebro, Alshebab SC and Högbo AIK. Askeröds IF /Löberöds IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Färjestadens GoIF with 0-4. In the Final, Landvetter IS won over Leiknir and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Askeröds comes from Askeröd which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Askeröd does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Spjutstorps IF, IFK Hässleholm, Köpingebro IF, Torns IF, Hörby FF, Skurups DFF, Uppåkra IF, Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, Staffanstorps GIF and Viridis Skurup FC).
