Valbo FF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Valbo FF, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Valbo FF could be found in Group 9 together with Ängelholms FF, Encinitas Express, Tuil and Hovås-Billdal IF. Valbo FF continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Södra Sandby IF with 1-2. In the Final, Tuve IF won over Södra Sandby IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Valbo FF also participated in Girls 17 during Gothia Cup 2013. They reached the 1/16 Final in G17 Play off A, but lost it against Linköping Kenty DFF with 0-5. Valbo comes from Gävle which lies approximately 430 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gävle does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Sandvikens IF, Sandvikens AIK, Gefle IF, Torsåkers IF, Årsunda IF, Högbo AIK and Hagaströms SK).
