Njurunda IK

Njurunda IK was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Njurunda IK, 124 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Njurunda IK could be found in Group 26 together with Staffanstorps GIF, Gammelstads IF and Swindon Town FITC. Njurunda IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Piteå IF with 0-4. In the Final, Boo FF won over Lira BK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Njurunda IK also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2013. They reached the 1/32 Final in G14 Play off A, but lost it against Onsala BK with 1-4. Njurunda comes from Sundsvall which lies approximately 590 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sundsvall does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (IFK Timrå, GIF Sundsvall and Sundsvalls DFF).
