Menio Park Vikings

Menio Park Vikings was one of 33 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Menio Park Vikings, 162 other teams from 31 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 40 different groups, whereof Menio Park Vikings could be found in Group 26 together with Masthuggets BK, Szanda Focisuli SE and Husie IF 1. Menio Park Vikings continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Mölndal Fotboll with 3-5. In the Final, Olympiacos FC won over Chungmu and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Menio Park Vikings comes from Menlo Park which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Menlo Park does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (San Francisco Seals and San Francisco Lions).
