Ale/Kungälv was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Ale/Kungälv, 176 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Ale/Kungälv could be found in Group 12 together with St. Paul Blackhawks, Råslätts SK and F.C. Beirut 1. Ale/Kungälv continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against ASD Mezzolara with 0-3. In the Final, Kampala Junior Team won over Consadole Sapporo and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Ale/Kungälv comes from Ytterby which lies approximately 14 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ytterby does also provide 63 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: Balltorps FF, Gerdskens BK, FC Amhult, Kållered SK, Mölndal Fotboll, Hovås-Billdal IF, IK Zenith, Öckerö IF, Qviding FIF and Partille IF).
