Amman Football Academy was one of two clubs from Jordan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Amman Football Academy, 164 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Amman Football Academy could be found in Group 23 together with Azalea BK 1, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld and Boo FF. Amman Football Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Sleipner, IK with 1-6. In the Final, Shilla FC 1 won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Amman Football Academy comes from Amman which lies approximately 3400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Amman Football Academy, the club Academy of Baghdad does also originate from the area around Amman.
