Gneist Fotball was one of 55 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Gneist Fotball, 176 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Gneist Fotball could be found in Group 34 together with IFK Falköping FF, Barnes Eagles and Hargs BK. Gneist Fotball continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Helsingfors IFK, FC with 1-3. In the Final, Skiljebo SK won over Seatown FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Gneist Fotball comes from Bergen which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bergen does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Fyllingsdalen FK, Os TF, Arna-Bjørnar, Kalandseid IL and Frøya IL).
