San Diego Football Academy

San Diego Football Academy was one of 34 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to San Diego Football Academy, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof San Diego Football Academy could be found in Group 33 together with Runar, IL 1, Kållered SK and USV Scheiblingkirchen. San Diego Football Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 33. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against FC Rueil Malmaison with 0-2. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over FC Rueil Malmaison and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. San Diego Football Academy also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2012. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Slutspel A, but lost it against Asarums IF/FK with 0-3. San Diego Football Academy comes from San Diego, CA which lies approximately 8900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Diego, CA does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (San Diego Soccer Club, Rsf Attack and Encinitas Express).
