Åkarps IF

Åkarps IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Åkarps IF, 164 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Åkarps IF could be found in Group 26 together with Öjersjö IF, Sagesse Brazilia and Lindome GIF. Åkarps IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Azalea BK 2 with 2-4. In the Final, Shilla FC 1 won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Åkarps comes from Åkarp which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åkarp does also provide 27 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: LB07, Borgeby FK, Husie IF, BK Höllvikens, GIF Nike, Veberöds AIF, Viridis Skurup FC, IF Lödde, Trelleborgs FF and Staffanstorps GIF).
