Vadstena GIF

Vadstena GIF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Vadstena GIF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Vadstena GIF could be found in Group 24 together with Eriksbergs IF, Prior Lake Soccer Club and Oppsal IF. Vadstena GIF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 24. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Falköpings KIK with 4-5. In the Final, Kvarnsvedens IK won over Boo FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Vadstena GIF comes from Vadstena which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vadstena does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Mjölby AI/FF, Sommens AIF, Boxholm IF, Mjölby Södra IF and Motala AIF).
