Gröndals IK

Gröndals IK was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 13. In addition to Gröndals IK, 39 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 13. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof Gröndals IK could be found in Group 3 together with Tölö IF, Barkarö SK and Team Noga CT. Gröndals IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Boo FF with 0-1. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over Boo FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 13. Gröndals IK also participated in Girls 12 during Gothia Cup 2012. They reached the 1/4 Final in G12 Slutspel A, but lost it against Tölö IF with 3-8. Gröndals comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 55 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: AIK FF, Bollstanäs SK, Mälarhöjdens IK, Djurgården IF DFF, Boo FF, Djurgårdens IF, Hammarby IF, Karlbergs BK, Segeltorps IF and Spårvägens FF).
