Götene IF

Götene IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Götene IF, 182 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 45 different groups, whereof Götene IF could be found in Group 43 together with Lindsdal IF, Runar, IL and Jonstorp IF. Götene IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 43. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Färjestadens GoIF with 0-1. In the Final, Sleipner, IK won over IF Brommapojkarna 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Götene comes from Götene which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Götene does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Skultorps IF, Mariestads BK, Sils IF, Johannesbergs LIF, Skara FC and IFK Mariestad).
