Högsby IK

Högsby IK was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Högsby IK, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Högsby IK could be found in Group 31 together with Ljungby IF 2, SG Borken e.V. and Tarsus AC. Högsby IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 31. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against San Diego Football Academy with 0-1. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over FC Rueil Malmaison and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Högsby comes from Högsby which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Högsby does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Målilla GoIF, Mönsterås GoIF and Hultsfreds FK).
