Mälarhöjdens IK was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Mälarhöjdens IK, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Mälarhöjdens IK could be found in Group 2 together with Örgryte IS, Kampala Junior Team and ACBB Paris 1. Mälarhöjdens IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Eskilstuna 2 with 0-3. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over FC Rueil Malmaison and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Mälarhöjdens comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 59 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: AIK FF, Bollstanäs SK, Djurgården IF DFF, Boo FF, Djurgårdens IF, Hammarby IF, Karlbergs BK, Segeltorps IF, Spårvägens FF and Huddinge IF).
