Verdal IL

Verdal IL was one of 53 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Verdal IL, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Verdal IL could be found in Group 10 together with Mariestads BK, La Academia FC and TSV Abbehausen. Verdal IL continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Asarums IF/FK with 2-3. In the Final, Fässbergs IF won over Fyllingsdalen FK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 18. Verdal comes from 7650 Verdal which lies approximately 680 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
