Santos Laguna

Santos Laguna was one of 12 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Santos Laguna, 23 other teams from 10 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Santos Laguna could be found in Group 5 together with Djurgårdens IF, Helsingborgs IF and HJK Helsinki. Santos Laguna made it to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Djurgårdens IF, which they won with 2-0. Thereby Santos Laguna won the entire Slutspel A in Boys 17 during Gothia Cup 2012. Other than Santos Laguna, the club Club América Coapa does also originate from the area around .
