IK Franke

IK Franke was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to IK Franke, 140 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof IK Franke could be found in Group 23 together with Shakti Sports Academy, Torslanda IK, Senlis, U.S.M. 2 and Värmdö IF 1. IK Franke continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against JSSL Arsenal Singapore with 1-10. In the Final, IF Elfsborg won over Efthymiades FA and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 12. Franke comes from Västerås which lies approximately 330 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Triangelns IK, Skiljebo SK, BK Sport, IFK Eskilstuna, IFK Västerås FK, Surahammars FK, Skogstorps GoIF, Barkarö SK , Kvicksunds SK and Gideonsbergs IF).
