Vejby IF

Vejby IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Vejby IF, 140 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof Vejby IF could be found in Group 32 together with IFK Stocksund 2, TuS Makkabi Frankfurt and Antony Sport Football 1. Vejby IF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 32. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Chicago Nationals with 1-2. In the Final, Beirut FAC won over San Javier Guadalajara and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 12. Vejby comes from VEJBYSTRAND which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around VEJBYSTRAND does also provide 19 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Trönninge IFTrönninge IF, Ödåkra IF, Höganäs BK, Brunnby FF, Fortuna FF, Billesholms GIF, Förslövs IF, Ängelholms FF, Kullabygdens DFF and Ramlösa Södra FF).
