Mercer Island Force

Mercer Island Force was one of 30 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Mercer Island Force, 92 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Mercer Island Force could be found in Group 1 together with IF Brommapojkarna, IFK Umeå/Mariehem and Centern, IF. Mercer Island Force continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Uddevalla with 0-1. In the Final, Tölö IF won over Rävåsens IK and became the winner of Slutspel B in Girls 14. Mercer Island Force comes from Wa Mercer Island which lies approximately 7600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Wa Mercer Island does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Crossfire Premier SC and Lake Hills).
