IK Fyris

IK Fyris was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to IK Fyris, 126 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof IK Fyris could be found in Group 4 together with CEF 18 Tucuman, Tynecastle Football Club 1 and Gunnilse IS. IK Fyris continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Levallois SC with 3-5. In the Final, Tynecastle Football Club 1 won over JäPS and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 13. Fyris comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Upsala IF, Rosersberg IK, Gamla Upsala SK, IFK Uppsala, Bälinge IF, Håbo FF, Sunnersta AIF, Vaksala SK, IK Sirius FK and SK Wigör).
