Bälinge IF

Bälinge IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Bälinge IF, 92 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Bälinge IF could be found in Group 11 together with Munka-Ljungby IF, Marin FC 1 and Södra Skärgården IK. Bälinge IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Kalmar with 2-3. In the Final, Bergdalens IK won over DFF, Vasalunds and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 14. Bälinge comes from Bälinge which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bälinge does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Upsala IF, Tobo/Örbyhus FF, Gamla Upsala SK, IFK Uppsala, IK Fyris, Sunnersta AIF, Vaksala SK, IK Sirius FK, SK Wigör and Storvreta IK).
