Markaryds IF

Markaryds IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Markaryds IF, 204 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Markaryds IF could be found in Group 9 together with Ingarö IF, Paulista, AC and V. Frölunda IF. Markaryds IF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Dalby GIF with 1-3. In the Final, IFK Berga won over GAIS and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 14. Markaryds comes from Markaryd which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Markaryd does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Broby IF, IFK Hässleholm, Älmhults IF, IFK Osby, Vittsjö DFK, Hässleholms IF and Bjärnums GoIF).
