New England Cardinals

New England Cardinals was one of 30 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to New England Cardinals, 49 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof New England Cardinals could be found in Group 9 together with Lerums IS, Enskede IK 2 and Hönö IS. New England Cardinals continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Gröndals IK with 3-4. In the Final, AIK FF 2 won over San Gabriel, CD and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 12. New England Cardinals comes from Stamford which lies approximately 6000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
