NK Bubamara was one of two clubs from Croatia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to NK Bubamara, 111 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof NK Bubamara 2 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Göteborg, IF FF Hammarby 1 and F.C. Beirut. NK Bubamara 2 continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg 1 with 2-7. In the Final, IF FF Hammarby 1 won over KFV Segeberg 1 and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 11. NK Bubamara comes from Zagreb which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than NK Bubamara, the club NK PREČKO does also originate from the area around Zagreb.
