Hönö/Björkö

Hönö/Björkö was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 13. In addition to Hönö/Björkö, 39 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 13. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof Hönö/Björkö could be found in Group 2 together with Skepplanda BTK, San Gabriel, CD and Boo FF. Hönö/Björkö continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Kullabygdens DFF with 0-1. In the Final, Kullabygdens DFF won over Marin FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Girls 13. Hönö/Björkö comes from Hönö which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hönö does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Lerums IS, IF Väster, Näsets SK, Finlandia-Pallo IF , Södra Skärgården IK, Landvetter IF, BK Bifrost, Tölö IF, Kungsbacka IF and Fässbergs IF).
