Gröndals IK

Gröndals IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Gröndals IK, 49 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Gröndals IK could be found in Group 8 together with BK Häcken 2, PK-35 2 and Pershagens SK. Gröndals IK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Tölö IF with 3-8. In the Final, AIK FF 2 won over San Gabriel, CD and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 12. Gröndals comes from Gröndal which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gröndal does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, IFK Trelleborg, GIF Nike, Bara GIF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, LB07, Skurups AIF, Trollenäs IF, AB Tårnby and Tårnby FF).
