Vittsjö GIK was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Vittsjö GIK, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Vittsjö GIK could be found in Group 1 together with SA United SC, Bossekop UL and Hisingsbacka FC. Vittsjö GIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Valur with 0-1. In the Final, Tuve IF won over Södra Sandby IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Vittsjö GIK comes from Vittsjö which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vittsjö does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Among others: Tyringe IF, IFK Hässleholm, Farstorps GOIF/Hästveda IF, Lärje Angered IF, Lärje Angered IF/Gunnilse IS, Angered United, Hässleholms IF, IFK Osby, Markaryds IF and Älmhults IF).
