Gammelstads IF

Gammelstads IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Gammelstads IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Gammelstads IF could be found in Group 7 together with Enskede IK, St. Paul Blackhawks 1 and IF Eker Örebro. Gammelstads IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against BK Farum with 6-7. In the Final, Austin Lonestars 98G Morgan won over BK Farum and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Gammelstads comes from Gammelstad (Luleå) which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gammelstad (Luleå) does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Notvikens IK, Norrsken, FC, Sunderby SK, Lira BK, Bergnäsets AIK and IFK Luleå).
