Mälarhöjdens IK

Mälarhöjdens IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Mälarhöjdens IK, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Mälarhöjdens IK could be found in Group 56 together with IF Elfsborg, SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 and Giovanile Centallo 2006. Mälarhöjdens IK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 56. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps GIF with 0-4. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Mälarhöjdens comes from Hägersten which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hägersten does also provide 56 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Spånga IS FK, IF Brommapojkarna, AIK FF, Älvsjö AIK FF, Bollstanäs SK, Tullinge TP, Rosersberg IK, Rönninge Salem Fotboll, Värtans IK and DFF, Vasalunds).
