Gunnilse IS

Gunnilse IS was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Gunnilse IS, 34 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Gunnilse IS could be found in Group 5 together with Hammarby IF 1, Torslanda IK 2 and Prep School Girls Green. Gunnilse IS continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Burlingame SC with 0-7. In the Final, Makati FC won over Hammarby IF 3 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Gunnilse IS comes from Angered which lies approximately 5 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Angered does also provide 79 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: IFK Hindås, RCD Espanyol Academy Göteborg, Öjersjö IF/ Björndammen, Mölnlycke IF, Särö Kullavik IF, Tölö IF, Lindome GIF, IFK Göteborg, IF Warta and Öckerö IF).
