Cerezo Osaka

Cerezo Osaka was one of two clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). In addition to Cerezo Osaka, 15 other teams from 7 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Cerezo Osaka could be found in Group 3 together with SV Eutingen, FC Djursholm and Piteå IF. Cerezo Osaka made it to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against NorCal Premier PDP, which they won with 1-0. Thereby Cerezo Osaka won the entire Play off A in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17) during Gothia Cup 2024. Cerezo Osaka also participated in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17) during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/4 Final in B17E Play off A, but lost it against Right to Dream with 0-1. Cerezo Osaka comes from Osaka which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
