IF Elfsborg was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). In addition to IF Elfsborg, 35 other teams from 11 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IF Elfsborg could be found in Group 3 together with Degerfors IF, TikiTaka International FC and FK Cukaricki. IF Elfsborg continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Right to Dream with 0-3. In the Final, Sporting Lagos won over FC Tokyo and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). IF Elfsborg also participated in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17) during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/4 Final in B17E Play off A, but lost it against Deportivo Cali with 1-3. Elfsborg comes from Borås which lies approximately 58 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borås does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: IFK Hindås, Herrljunga SK FK, Vårgårda IK, Gerdskens BK, IFK Örby, Torshälla-Nyby IS, Alingsås KIK, Sätila SK, Alingsås IF and Bergdalens IK).
