In addition to IK Sirius FK, 27 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Sirius FK could be found in Group 6 together with Malmö FF, Varbergs BoIS FC and Örebro SK. IK Sirius FK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against BK Häcken with 0-1. In the Final, Malmö FF won over IF Brommapojkarna and became the winner of Play off A in SEF Trophy. IK Sirius FK also participated in SEF Trophy during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/8 Final in SEF Play off A, but lost it against BK Häcken with 0-2.
