GIF Nike

GIF Nike was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to GIF Nike, 83 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof GIF Nike could be found in Group 10 together with IFK Göteborg, Most Wanted Elite and Älvsjö AIK FF 2. GIF Nike continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Tenhults IF with 0-1. In the Final, Throttur, FC 1 won over Lerums IS and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. GIF Nike comes from Lomma which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lomma does also provide 30 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: BK Höllviken, Lunds FF, BK Flagg, Skurups AIF, Lunds BoiS, Kävlinge Harrie FF, Bjärreds IF, AC Trelleborg, Landskrona BoIS and IF Limhamn/Bunkeflo).
