IK Sleipner

IK Sleipner was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to IK Sleipner, 110 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof IK Sleipner could be found in Group 19 together with SG Borken e.V., TPEA, Beirut Football Academy and AFC Eskilstuna. IK Sleipner continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Västerås IK 2 with 2-4. In the Final, Ljungskile SK/Groheds IF won over IK Franke and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. Sleipner comes from Norrköping which lies approximately 270 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Norrköping does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Lotorps IF, Lindö FF Norrköping, Smedby AIS, Tallboda IF, Linköpings FF and IFK Norrköping).
