Vikens IK

Vikens IK was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Vikens IK, 83 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Vikens IK could be found in Group 20 together with Kings Hill, Karlslunds IF FK, Borg and Gamla Upsala SK. Vikens IK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Nittedal IL with 0-5. In the Final, Throttur, FC 1 won over Lerums IS and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Vikens comes from Viken which lies approximately 180 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Viken does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Jonstorp IF, Ängelholms FF, Allerums GIF, Stattena IF, Landskrona BoIS, Munka-Ljungby IF, Vejby IF, Fortuna FF, Glumslövs FF and Alegria FK).
