AFC Eskilstuna

AFC Eskilstuna was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to AFC Eskilstuna, 110 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof AFC Eskilstuna could be found in Group 19 together with SG Borken e.V., TPEA, Beirut Football Academy and IK Sleipner. AFC Eskilstuna made it to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 19. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Swindon Town FITC Red, which they won with 2-0. Thereby AFC Eskilstuna won the entire Play off A in Boys 17 during Gothia Cup 2024. AFC Eskilstuna also participated in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/4 Final in B16 Play off B, but lost it against Russell Martin Academy with 0-3. AFC Eskilstuna comes from Eskilstuna which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Eskilstuna does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Barkarö SK, IK Viljan, Västerås SK Ungdom, Munktorps BK, Västerås IK, Skiljebo SK, IFK Eskilstuna, Eskilstuna City FK, Jäders IF and Västerås SK Fotboll).
