In addition to the two Åkersberga FC teams, 109 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Åkersberga FC could be found in Group 7 together with University of Pretoria, Entente Osten Luxembourg and IFK Falköping FF. Åkersberga FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against AFC Eskilstuna with 7-8. In the Final, AFC Eskilstuna won over Swindon Town FITC Red and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Åkersberga FC also participated in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/32 Final in B16 Play off A, but lost it against IFK Eskilstuna with 1-3.
