AF Alcoitão

AF Alcoitão was one of 11 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to AF Alcoitão, 189 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof AF Alcoitão could be found in Group 31 together with Norrtulls SK Haga, BK Häcken 2 and FCNE P1. AF Alcoitão continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 31. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Bogliasco FC with 4-5. In the Final, Throttur, FC 1 won over Bara GIF Svart and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. AF Alcoitão comes from Alcoitão which lies approximately 2600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alcoitão does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Racing Power FC, Cascais, EFB Oeiras, ADA 2015, CF Colegio Atlantico and AFD Torre).
