Atletico Echegaray

Atletico Echegaray was one of 25 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Atletico Echegaray, 123 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 30 different groups, whereof Atletico Echegaray could be found in Group 9 together with FC Saint Cloud, FC Nõmme United and IF Väster Svart. Atletico Echegaray continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Prep School Lions Navy with 5-6. In the Final, Prep School Lions Navy won over Culver City Football Club and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Atletico Echegaray comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MEXICO does also provide 22 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Evolution Futbol Academy, CF Interclubes Mexico, Rayados Tecamachalco, Real Sociedad Chihuahua, Seleccion Edo. de Mex, Nido Valle Dorado, IFAC, Atletico Real Morelos, Tec. de Monterrey and Intercups MX).
