Matfors IF

Matfors IF was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 14B. In addition to Matfors IF, 56 other teams from 13 different countries played in Boys 14B. They were divided into 14 different groups, whereof Matfors IF could be found in Group 14 together with FC Ajax - Tallinn, Danmarks IF Vit and Torslanda IK 2. Matfors IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Fjärås with 2-4. In the Final, IFK Fjärås won over Barkarö SK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14B. Matfors comes from Matfors which lies approximately 590 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Matfors does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (IFK Timrå, Sundsvalls FF, Selånger SK, Sidsjö-Böle IF, Essviks AIF and GIF Sundsvall).
