Santa Monica Tidal Waves

Santa Monica Tidal Waves was one of 54 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 13. In addition to Santa Monica Tidal Waves, 53 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 13. They were divided into 13 different groups, whereof Santa Monica Tidal Waves could be found in Group 2 together with Kjelsås IL 2, Prep School Girls Red and IFK Lidingö FK Blå. Santa Monica Tidal Waves continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Liga Deportiva Alajuelense Costa Rica with 0-1. In the Final, Hammarby IF won over Jitex BK and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 13. Santa Monica Tidal Waves comes from Santa Monica which lies approximately 8800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Santa Monica does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Total Futbol Academy, Santa Monica Surf SC and Culver City Football Club).
