Örby IS

Örby IS was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Örby IS, 189 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof Örby IS could be found in Group 28 together with HSC Hannover, RS Sports and Norrtulls SK Röda Bergen. Örby IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Stars'n Stripes Red with 0-3. In the Final, Throttur, FC 1 won over Bara GIF Svart and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Örby IS comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 73 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Örby IS/Söder United, Stockholm Södra Fotboll, Stureby FF, Ursvik IK, Essinge IK, IK Frej Täby, Djurgårdens IF, Knarrbacken FC, IFK Aspudden-Tellus and IFK Stocksund).
