Athens Stars

Athens Stars was one of five clubs from Greece that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Athens Stars, 253 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 63 different groups, whereof Athens Stars could be found in Group 16 together with Tenhults IF, Åmotfors IF and US Sainte Geneviève. Athens Stars continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Imperial Future with 0-1. In the Final, Imperial Future won over RS Sports and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Athens Stars comes from ATHENS which lies approximately 2400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around ATHENS does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Apollon Halandriou, Dionysos and Cosmos F.C.).
