Emmaboda IS

Emmaboda IS was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Emmaboda IS, 82 other teams from 16 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Emmaboda IS could be found in Group 2 together with Club Pelota al Medio a la Esperanza, Orlando City Soccer Club and Lørenskog IF. Emmaboda IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against C2 United with 0-1. In the Final, Vita Youth 3 won over FC Black Stars Basel and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Emmaboda IS comes from Emmaboda which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Emmaboda does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Hovmantorp GoIF and Möre BK).
