Östansbo IS

Östansbo IS was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Östansbo IS, 83 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Östansbo IS could be found in Group 12 together with Mariebo IK/Haga, Sätila|Hyssna|Ubbhult|Hällingsjö, Nittedal IL and Täby FK Blå. Östansbo IS continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Qviding FIF with 0-3. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over IFK Viksjö and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Östansbo IS comes from Ludvika which lies approximately 330 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Östansbo IS, the club Islingby IK does also originate from the area around Ludvika.
