Stenungsunds IF

Stenungsunds IF was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Stenungsunds IF, 82 other teams from 16 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Stenungsunds IF could be found in Group 9 together with IF Eker, Arsmon Football Club 2 and First Mobile Sports Academy. Stenungsunds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Club Pelota al Medio a la Esperanza with 0-1. In the Final, FK Lillehammer won over Jusball FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Stenungsunds IF also participated in Boys 17 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/16 Final in B17 Play off B, but lost it against CCL Soccer Club with 5-6. Stenungsunds comes from Stenungs which lies approximately 37 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stenungs does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Orust FC, Hermansby IF, Skoftebyns IF, Ale United, Edet FK, Kärra KIF, Hisingsbacka FC, Serbiska KIF Semberija, Backatorp IF and Angered MBIK).
