IK Frej

IK Frej was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 13. In addition to IK Frej, 53 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 13. They were divided into 13 different groups, whereof IK Frej could be found in Group 1 together with Älvsborg FF, IL Heming, FC Amazonka and Brighton, Hove & District Red. IK Frej continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against BK Häcken 1 with 1-2. In the Final, BK Häcken 1 won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 13. Frej comes from Täby which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Täby does also provide 73 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Örby IS/Söder United, Stockholm Södra Fotboll, Stureby FF, Ursvik IK, Essinge IK, IK Frej Täby, Djurgårdens IF, Knarrbacken FC, IFK Aspudden-Tellus and IFK Stocksund).
