Louth Schoolgirls League

Louth Schoolgirls League was one of four clubs from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Louth Schoolgirls League, 83 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Louth Schoolgirls League could be found in Group 18 together with Randesund IL 1, Tallboda IF 1 and Lerkils IF. Louth Schoolgirls League continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg with 1-5. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over IFK Viksjö and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Louth Schoolgirls League also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/32 Final in G15 Play off A, but lost it against IFK Luleå with 0-1. Louth Schoolgirls League comes from Louth which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Louth Schoolgirls League, the club Dundalk Schoolboys League does also originate from the area around Louth.
